Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting environmental field investigations, long-term monitoring, documenting field conditions, and supporting remediation activities through sampling activities. You will also be responsible for working with senior-level geologists on the development of conceptual site models, oversight of remediation activities such as soil excavations, amendment injections, and operation of remediation systems. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing for and coordinating field events, management of field and laboratory data, development of graphics depicting site investigation activities, developing pricing for future work, developing period and unique reports, studies, and plans. Travel for site visits and meetings will be required.
Skills and Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in geology or related field.
* 12 years of experience related to the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites under federal, state, or other cleanup programs.
* Must have adequate experience in field work, workplan development, task management, data analysis, and report preparation.
* Successful candidate will demonstrate a history of increasing responsibility, initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving.
* Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work successfully independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
* PG registration preferred.
* OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.
* Effective technical writing and time management skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Access, ArcGIS a plus. * Solid decision-making, planning, and organizational skills.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills.
* Ability to organize and manage a variety of work and meet internal and external deadlines null
