About Environmental Compliance Specialist

  What You Will Do:Gannett Fleming is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Scientistor Engineer to be located in Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Columbus, OH;or Madison, WI to assist with environmental compliance and auditing for avariety of industrial manufacturing and food & beverage clients located acrossAssignments will be performed through an understanding of applicablefederal, state, and local regulatory requirements including the Clean AirAct, Clean Water Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act(EPCRA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Thecandidate will be expected to manage multiple concurrent assignments;develop/maintain schedules; analyze and document critical projectelements; coordinate with others to determine requirements and incorporatefeedback. Coordination with clients, contractors, outside consultants,government agencies, project stakeholders and Gannett Fleming staff frommultiple locations and technical disciplines is expected.Responsibilities will include:Prepare environmental compliance plans, reports, and regulatory submissions.Review and understand environmental regulations and determine applicability.Analyze data and prepare air emissions inventories and other technicalcalculations.Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation.Review permit terms to assist the client in compliance within regulatoryframework.Track compliance deadlines and be responsible for preparation of numerousreports.Assist project managers and senior level management on projects.Conduct site visits to gather equipment information, conduct inspections,and audits.Some travel and overnight stays will be required.Education | Experience:Minimum QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry,Geology, or Natural Resources, or in Environmental, Chemical, or CivilEngineer5-10 years of related experience supporting industrial manufacturing and food& beverage clientsAbility to review and understand complex local, state and federal regulations.Familiarity with environmental compliance areas such as:Clean Air ActAir permitting, stack testing, emissions calucations, Title V, PSD,NSR, NSPS, MACT, NESHAP, RMP, ODS, AsbestosClean Water ActIndustrial storm water permitting, NPDES, wastewater permitting andcompliance, SWPPP preparationSpill PreventionOil management compliance, SPCC plan preparationWaste Management, ReportingRCRA Hazardous Waste, Universal Waste, Beneficial Reuse, Residual WasteChemical Storage, Planning, Reporting - CERCLA, Tier II ChemicalInventory reporting, EPCRA 302, 311, 312Release Reporting - Toxic Release Inventory EPCRA 313Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Successful candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able tocollaborate with a team.__Company Overview:At Gannett Fleming, we believe in improving the lives of the people weserve.
