Spend your days managing data collection, and conducting educational outreach programs in the community while supporting the Solid Waste Department. In this role you will...
Establish deliverables for the program, manage the program budget and applicable grant funding, procure materials, track expenses, and process invoices.
Coordinate and manage volunteer cleanup events including the Great American Cleanup, Liberty Litter Cleanup, and International Coastal Cleanups.
Plan and implement programming for the annual volunteer awards recognition celebration.
Manage the application process, available inventory, safety training, supply distribution, post-event debris collection, data management, and annual renewal process for the KSCB Adopt-a-Road program.
Prepare and submit annual reports, including the Litter Index, to Keep America Beautiful to maintain good standing.
Facilitate logistics for the KSCB Citizens Advisory Board by maintaining the meeting calendar, updating county advertising schedules, developing agendas, attending all meetings, and preparing and distributing meeting minutes.
Conduct waste audits, make recommendations, and increase knowledge of waste reduction/recycling programs and resources available to local businesses.
Advise businesses on proper management practices for regulated wastes by conducting on-site visits and by observing and reviewing handling procedures, disposal practices, and recordkeeping.
Provide documentation and reports to ensure compliance with the mandatory recycling program.
Collect and compile data for the annual Recovered Materials Report (RMR).
Represent the department in the Development Review Committee (DRC) for new construction planning.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with three (3) years of job-related experience.
-OR- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a job-related field with one-year of work experience.
-OR- Five (5) years of professional experience can be substituted at management discretion.
Valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire.
Physical Demands:
May occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $25.45 - $27.50, depending on experience
Full Position Salary Range: $25.45 - $43.26
