Description
Assist the acid plant supervisor with scheduled and unscheduled plant outages, to include plant engineers and operators with acid plant optimization, to maximize acid production and power and reducing off gas emissions. Participate in planning, preparing for, and overseeing special projects, including LOTOTO planning and serving as ECC as needed.
Audit/inspect acid unloading process, areas, and equipment. Report and address deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Support acid truck drivers as needed. Serve as point of contact for 2-way communication.
Work with planning and GSC to ensure all critical spares are on hand.
Assist in managing and reporting acid inventories and deliveries. Communicate and respond to issues accordingly.
Develop plant preventive maintenance program for plant optimization and reduced downtime in between turnarounds.
Review/Revise SOPs and other documents
Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience in a mining or manufacturing environment within maintenance and/or operations
Or a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or closely related area
Knowledge of site processes, equipment and infrastructure
Knowledge of comprehensive preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
Skilled in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling the maintenance of plant, vehicles, and equipment
Skill in utilizing computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $22.00 - $30.00/hour . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
