Who we are looking for
State Street Global Markets (SSGM) engages in a variety of Brazil markets business activities, including sales and trading in foreign exchange markets activities in principal basis. The Credit & Global Markets Risk (CGM) group - being part of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division - is responsible for oversight of SSGM's trading businesses.
The position is for a self-motivated Risk Professional for State Street Brazil with a strong technical aptitude to provide oversight of market, credit, liquidity and operational risks, along with social, environmental and climate risks, as part of the CGM Market Risk team. The position will report locally to the Head of Risk Management, Vice President. The candidate will contribute to the establishment and maintenance of best practices and governance policies pertaining to report risk compilation, data integrity and distribution.

What you will be responsible for
As Risk Assistant Vice-President you will be responsible for
Risk oversight of market, liquidity, credit and operational risks, along with social, environmental and climate risks, producing reports and performing analysis, including the validation of position data and risk calculations. Substantial interaction with traders and support functions requiredHelp develop risk management systems (specifying requirements, supporting implementation and testing), prototyping and development of enhanced risk management toolsAnalyze and continuously enhance market risk (VaR, Stressed VaR, PV01) and counterparty credit exposure metrics (PFE, EPE, CVA, stress)Prepare materials to support internal committeesSupport on development and updates of Risk Appetite Statement metrics and reportsSupport on operational risk monitoring and reportingHelp disseminate risk policies, procedures and established limits to staffMonitor and escalate Market Risk/Credit Exposure/Liquidity Limits, providing relevant analysis and information for approvals as requiredPrepare and submit regulatory reports to the Central Bank of Brazil (DDR, DRSAC, DRL and DRM)Develop good working relationships with colleagues within CGM and ERM, SSGM and other business units, support functions (e.g., operations) and technologyContribute to build Brazil risk and/compliance regulatory projects as required; independently driving forward assigned tasks

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Degree/Post-graduate degree in relevant and/or quantitative subjects4+ year's hands-on industry experienceIn-depth knowledge of Foreign Exchange and Derivatives preferredFamiliarity with Brazilian Risk policies and procedures developmentFamiliarity with Brazilian Regulatory Risk reporting's
