Enterprise Payments (EP) Strategy Manager works on analytically oriented, payments related strategy projects for the bank. This role works on multiple, distinct projects at a given time, conducts required analysis, manages analysts as needed and ultimately communicates findings in a verbal and written format.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Frame payments related strategic questions and build approaches to solve them
Lead 1-2 payment projects that can span from curating marketing research and documenting strategic implications, to partnership and corporate development evaluations while managing analysts and championing work across the Bank
Write power point decks or word docs communicating the strategic process, analysis, options, tradeoffs, and recommendations
Conduct analysis by using appropriate tools (e.g. model building, market sizing, and financial analysis)
Conduct research and analysis about relevant questions by talking to applicable people in the organization and contacts externally (if applicable), identifying and synthesizing previous work, developing new analysis, and becoming a thought leader
Communicate results of analysis and findings of research in both verbal and written format
Stay current on all payments related developments in the market; be a leader in communicating and galvanizing the Bank, as needed.
Build relationships with Teammates in Bank’s payments businesses (e.g. Treasury Services, Card, etc)
Challenge conventional thinking and ask questions
Support the team in progressing the thinking in payments
Required Qualifications:

MBA, or graduate degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent education and related training and experience
6-10 years of relevant experience that is analytical in nature
Deep in at least one financial services area
Graduate of strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Oliver Wyman, Bain, etc.), investment banking, or sell side research training
2 years’ experience in Partnerships or Corporate Development
Currently in consulting, investment banking, or conducting similar work at an industry firm (i.e., strategy, corporate dev, etc.)
Led projects with analyst accountability / direct reports
Good at operating across a company interacting with managers
Analytically strong, creative, smart with good work ethic
Distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
High-level of adaptability; respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with change, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures
Take high degree of personal ownership and pride
History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
