Position Description Position Summary: The Engineering Technician will require a unique blend of technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and practical application in both mechanical design and manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will leverage their mechanical aptitude and design knowledge while working alongside an engineer to improve the design, optimize the assembly process and troubleshoot production failures. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: *Create and revise part and assembly prints and models per requirements as defined by Lead Engineer. *Design and fabricate assembly fixtures and prototypes, utilizing the model shop or external suppliers. *Initiate design and process changes and manage the updates through the change order process. *Investigate, troubleshoot, and document production failures. *Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Calibration (CAL) on production equipment. *Engage in continuous improvements opportunities with the engineering team. *Work in adherence with the Quality Management System (QMS), including development and maintenance of documentation. *Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Minimum: *2-year technical degree, or H.S. diploma + 5 years' experience will be considered in lieu of degree *Experience operating a CAD system (SolidWorks, proE, CATIA, Autocad, etc.). *Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. *Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. *Effective oral and written communication skills. *Moderate level of computer experience including MS Office Suite.
