Dynetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, is seeking a talented Engineering Project Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The Product Development Division focuses on development and production of advanced weapon systems for a variety of military and aerospace customers. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for leading technical programs involving software, electrical, optical, and mechanical subsystems from prototype to production. Key responsibilities include work breakdown, planning, scheduling, tracking, and execution of complex tasking within technical, schedule, and budget constraints. This position encompasses the complete lifecycle of a program from concept development through design and into production. The selected candidate will develop proposals and quotations for projects and products. The selected candidate will serve as the primary customer interface for projects. The position requires strong communication skills and demonstrated experience exhibiting good judgement. Experience with systems engineering and electronics development are also required. Some travel for meetings and test events may be required.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution10+ years of technical experience in the defense/aerospace industry5+ years experience managing technical programs that involve production of electromechanical systemsStrong understanding of program planning and execution techniques and tools Understanding of systems engineering principles, design and manufacturing processes, and quality systemsExperience successfully leading multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative engineering environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer interaction and presentation skillsCandidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Other Qualifications
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited institution
Preference shown to candidates who possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Preference shown to candidates who have experience and/or working knowledge of:
Developing products for military or aerospace applicationsEarned Value ManagementAS9100 quality systems and complianceNavigating DoD acquisition processes and methodsRisk identification, analysis, and management techniquesSubcontract management including creating SOW, and managing technical, schedule and budget for both large and small subcontractors.Proposal management including identifying key partners, developing statements of work for subcontracts, planning and writing proposal response.
Security Requirements
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
