About the role
Engineering Operations Manager will plan, implement, coordinate, and lead all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and staff development programs for a regional portfolio of building.
What you’ll do
Leads technical team in regional offices, including hiring, training, personnel development.
Leads team for assigned facilities and assists in development of operating and capital budgets.
Assists in operations and maintenance issues, troubleshoot and problem solving as required.
Recommends/implements improvements for preventive maintenance programs on an ongoing basis and develop/maintain effective building-specific maintenance and safety procedure manuals.
Coordinates maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel and technicians.
Lead all aspects of all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC and electrical issues and must remain current with the latest HVAC technology trends.
Maintains ongoing communication with tenants, clients, owners, facility management team and vendors.
May assist in solicitation and acquisition of new management contracts and coordinate development of and/or maintain as-built drawings.
Provide project management for applicable MEP work. Responds to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure etc.) and customer concerns.
Implements and administers inventory control programs/purchase parts and supplies.
Ensures compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies and company directives as relates to building operations.
Manage alignment to account governance requirements and report to client and vital parties. Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Membership of an Engineering related professional body i..e. CIBSE/EE preferred.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coasting, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and exciting performance and retention preferred.
Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to empower team impact on qualify, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job subject area and department.
Excellent client relationship skills.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Example includes Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination.
Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.
Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.
Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

California Resident: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Engineering Operations Manager position is $110,000 annually with bonus eligibility and the maximum salary for the Engineering Operations Manager position is $120,000 annually with bonus eligibility. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
