Position Overview
As an Engineering Manager, Salesforce at Autodesk, you will lead a team of software engineers to translate customer needs into technical solutions. You will work independently and collaboratively with peers to ensure that solutions are built with a long-term vision and align with enterprise platform requirements. You will also provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team, driving Agile, DevOps, and Reliability practices. You will report to Senior manager and its a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software systems
Utilize your expert industry knowledge and broad understanding of multiple disciplines to create outcomes for customers
Facilitate team collaboration sessions, providing technical expertise and removing technical roadblocks
Champion the development and implementation of innovative concepts in development, DevOps, automation, and testing
Ensure the team delivers high-quality code following best practices, such as peer code reviews, code standards, unit testing, and test-driven development
Conduct code and document reviews, mentoring the team in best practices
Take the lead in resolving critical incidents and proactively addressing product issues
Continuously assess technology to build more stable, scalable, and resilient software
Collaborate with business and technical product owners to interpret and translate business needs into technical requirements
Recommend tools and processes to ensure and performance
Troubleshoot code-level problems quickly and efficiently
Apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems
Focus on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes
Champion security requirements and secure coding practices, performing security reviews with Autodesk-wide security teams
Design and architect solutions to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software
Contribute to risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture
Contribute to the technical roadmap and technical debt elimination, balancing time, resources, and quality constraints
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
10+ years of hands-on experience developing scalable, distributed applications
Experience with Salesforce Declarative and Programmatic Customization
Experience architecting Salesforce solutions with requirements such as performance SLOs, high availability, and security
Understanding of data, security, and software architecture best practices, patterns, and technologies
Proficiency in industry-standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices
Familiarity with version and revision control practices
Experience extending the Lightning Platform using Apex and Visualforce and understanding Lightning Components
Use relevant declarative capabilities of the Salesforce platform
Experience with frequent and on-demand releases through the use of modern CI/CD tools
Experience in one additional technical domain in addition to Salesforce (e.g., Java, UI development, Web Services development, Ruby)
Knowledge of AWS or other cloud-based service providers
Experience working with large-scale enterprise organisations
Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to solve problems
Meticulous attention to detail in documentation and communication
