Job Summary
With our rapid growth within Cloud Networking space we need to scale our software engineering team! Responsibilities
In this position, you will be the manager of team in charge of delivering state of the art solutions that change customer's experience of provisioning and operating cloud infrastructure. You'll help teams navigate the complexities of aligning features with other teams in other parts of the company and making sure our customers can consume them in a seamless and enjoyable way. The team is a software development team, so the usual agile methodologies will be required. You'll also:
Be a technical manager with experience in distributed systems and software platformsPartner with product owners and other market facing functions to understand market needs; quickly translating them into demonstrable softwareDeal with ambiguity and drive to the heart of problems - when developing / managing an internal platform, sometimes you participate in the "what" just as much as the "how"Recruit, lead, and manage a global and remote team of software engineersMentor the individuals on your team and track progress of professional developmentDeeply care about technology, your craft and about the success of your team and the company. Have strong intrinsic motivators to help drive self-improvementHelp drive software design and improve our system architecture, making sure components are built in a way that is conducive for rapid development and deployment onto our platform
Qualifications
Proven years experience in software engineering managementBachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is a nice to have, but not requiredStrong organization and time management skillsYou enjoy helping people succeed and coaching them to find solutions to difficult technical challengesYou are a natural leader, helping to educate and develop those around youExperience developing software in L2-L3 networking technologies at datacenter scale or cloud scaleAn experience with building network software at scale with focus on resilience, automation of well tested production ready software. Prior experience with any one of these VPC, Load Balancers, DNS, Security Policies, IP Address Management is a plusExperience developing distributed, scalable, and highly available services with clean and modern APIsExperience in a modern coding language like Java or GoExperience with Agile software development practices including Scrum, JIRA, Peer Review, Git and CI/CD
