Title: Engineering Internship

The Engineering Department at the Protedyne subsidiary of Labcorp develops smarter, faster robots to optimize efficiency in Labcorp’s diagnostic testing laboratories across the world.Internship Assignment Summary:

Duties:
Product engineering drawings using SolidWorks
Perform mechanical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic assembly and test of prototype and production products using common hand tools, including wiring, soldering and crimping
Load software and perform system bring-up on electro-mechanical devices, including de-bugging and troubleshooting
Education/Qualifications/Skills:
Working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; experience using SolidWorks; knowledge of electro-mechanical components; ability to produce CAD drawings, blueprints and schematics; experience loading software; demonstrated skills with the safe and effective use of standard hand and power tools
Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting
Ability to collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues
Embraces diverse ways of thinking through various forms collaboration and partnership
