  Job Description

  AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Virginia Beach, VA.

  This position is expected to begin in May 2024.

  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

  Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

  Intern will be introduced to aspects related to the design of building mechanical systems (HVAC) as they relate to engineering course work.

  Qualifications

  Minimum Requirements:

  Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  Must have completed 3 years of study.

  Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Plans to pursue power/energy option within their mechanical engineering program.

  Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

  Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

  Additional Information

  Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

  Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

  Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Virginia locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $20.91 - $28.74/hr.
