Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience with data analysis and visualization, data pipelines, metrics.
Experience with reporting (e.g., dashboards), process analysis, and process improvement for human and automated processes.
Experience with networks and associated metrics (e.g., traffic, capacity).
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree.
Knowledge of optical and IP networks worldwide operations.
Passion for trustworthy data, transparent metrics and making technical language accessible to the wider organization.
Within Network Delivery Engineering, the life-cycle engineering team is at the front of introducing new technology into Google networks and infrastructure. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$203,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Develop accurate and efficient queries and lead the production of reliable metrics to monitor network performance, growth and issues (e.g., repairs, OMGs, complex network issues), analyze trade-offs and communicate insights to leadership.
Drive innovative solutions to achieve sublinear network growth and increase operational efficiency year over year.
Leverage domain expertise in Network Operations to identify system gaps and opportunities for improvement, and implement scalable and elegant ways to address quality issues and ensure metrics alignment across teams.
Support internal teams in Global Network Operations with data science programs from ideation to data collection, hypothesis testing, evaluation, and ensure reliable data pipelines run smoothly.
Ensure all operational network teams have access to reliable, trustworthy, transparent data for day-to-day operations.
