As an Engineering IT Business Partner, you will be part of Engineering IT team for Garrett Advancing Motion, reporting to Head of IT Engineering & Development Excellence.
Responsibilities:
Requirements elucidation. demand planning and execution for IT applications used globally, supporting & collaborating with engineering center of excellence (COE's), including core/non-core, lab organization, application teams, product lines and Operational excellence organization. Delivering functional tools and provide support, with internal resources and external vendors. The areas of focus but not limited to, would include, Simulation & Automation (simulation and test data correlation, prediction and others), to achieve productivity, Understanding and usage of composable architecture with High Performance computing (on cloud), Machine Learning, Bots and Enterprise Search, together with complete product development and validation toolchain, understanding and integration as needed, is essential for this role. Contributing & reviewing architecture designs, defining workflows, integrations plumbing with other systems, data management for simulations and physical tests, for digitally transforming the current state of applications used in engineering function, to next level. Backlog refinement and prioritization of user stories by working closely with the global business leaders and tracking them to completion, with good quality and measured KPI's. Solving business problems with an innovative mindset and leveraging new and upcoming technologies, to enable agility for the function. Project management activities for the projects you execute in the areas of engineering and would have regular reporting to the leadership about the health of the project and mitigate any project related risks, in time. Strong engagement with wider IT Community (infrastructure, security, Enterprise Architecture, Development & Data Excellence teams) You will be leading and contributing towards IT strategic initiatives and alleviating your team as a leader, with regular feedbacks and strong engagement.
Your profile:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering At least 10 years of experience in the field of SDLC (software development life cycle), project management and execution Experience in leading global IT projects in the engineering domain, with cross functional teams, with a solution oriented approach Significant abilities to convert system requirements into functional tools and act as a liaison between IT and business stakeholders, to support business needs effectively Strong problem solving skills with innovative mindset (leveraging and exploring new technologies) Basic knowledge of PLM/PDM & CAD and simulation tools Knowledge of software development lifecycle models (Agile) Proficient in global and multicultural communications, fluency in English Lead a highly motivated, multi-cultural and energized team to build capabilities further Organized, capable to lead assigned projects independently, including accountability Experience and well versed with metrics based management using KPI's, vendor & finance management and leadership reporting
