General Summary:
Wearable Platform team is part of IOT software team which works on development of wearable products like Smartwatches, Kids watches, Fitness trackers. As an engineer in this team, you need to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats and cooperate in a highly collaborative environment that’s more startup than a big company. Being ready to jump into the unknown and take on problems spanning various domains and technology areas is the most critical skill.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Required Exp - Relevant background with 3-6 years.
Key responsibilities :
• Working as part of multi-skilled Wearable platform team working across different tech areas on various Linux based operating systems.
• Feature development for Wear OS, Android and Linux based Snapdragon products.
• Contributing to end-to-end software execution, Systemic issues and delivery.
• Ensuring that the product deliverables are made on-time, and are competitive with respect to functionality, stability, power and performance.
• Working closely with geographically distributed core & execution teams spread across time-zones.
Requirements :
• Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong knowledge and experience (0-2 years) with C/C++/Java and good programming skills.
• Experience in Android App and service development.
• Good knowledge of using Android services and SDK.
• Strong hands-on experience on Android Frameworks or Wear OS.
• Good know-how of Multimedia subsystems like Camera, Video, Audio, Display and Graphics.
• Strong hands-on experience with troubleshooting software and system issues.
• Strong aptitude, quick learner, self-motivated, willing to explore and work across breadth of various technology areas.
• Good problem solving, good verbal and written communication skills for collaboration across teams.
