What you will be doing
Summary:
Under general direction of the Senior Director of Operations and International Accounts or other supervisory/management-level position within the company, provides expert technical support directly to AmerisourceBergen customers, contractors and associates throughout the United States, Canada and abroad for a custom AmerisourceBergen software and hardware solution.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides phone, email and other routes of support to customers and AB staff in order to resolve hardware issues as well as remote troubleshooting in order to resolve software user issuesSupports a variety of embedded systems technologies related to RFID, handheld scanners, PC and other hardware in a variety of pharmacy and other healthcare settingsProvides effective support and troubleshooting to customers and internal staff on software portal solution processesProvides effective installation, preventive and corrective repair actions for on-site repairs of customer equipment (including weekend and holiday support)Represents Cencora to the customer and provides effective professional communication regarding customer problemsAdheres to Cencora policies and practices for customer service operationsEnsures personal technical competency in all product linesProvides reporting, communication and information to others in order to understand technical product issues or operations that impact customer supportAbility to work varied hours in the service center and take after-hours escalated support callsMust be able to travel up to 30% of the time for on-site installations and training supportPerforms related duties as assigned
What your background should look like
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a two year Degree program; four year Bachelor's Degree preferredNormally requires a minimum of six (6) years previous experience in technical electronics field including experience in customer service and phone support; experience with software, mechanics or robotics.Outstanding phone support and customer management capabilitiesStrong electro-mechanical aptitudeExcellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access; advanced computer skills and experience with SQL, WinNT, VB or BAAN a plusAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingStrong organizational skills; attention to detail
