RolSummary:
This position is primarily responsible for maintenance and support of Gas-Hydraulic actuators.This position has daily interface with the Manufacturing, Sales, Service, Quality Assurance departments + Other Actuation Engineering sites and works on a variety of assignments from order engineering to design enhancements.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Process ETO production orders for all product lines
Perform design modifications to existing components for cost reduction and compliance to specific customer requirements
Create, revise and maintain assembly bills of material
Provide technical support to other departments
Evaluation and testing of new designs
Analysis and troubleshooting of failed components
Evaluation of dimensional variances on machined components
Creation and maintenance of procedures, forms and technical documentation
Assist with 3rd party certification agency audits and documentation when needed
Interface with global engineering partners to support production needs worldwide.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
2-3 years’ experience minimum.
Proficiency with machine component selection
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing experience
Travel Requirements: Less than 15%
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Experience working with mechanical industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
Experience specifying materials for various applications (steels, polymers, lubricants, seals, paint, etc.)
Experience performing failure analysis of mechanical components
Experience with component and/or assembly testing and evaluation
Ability to multi-task, self-starter, establish priorities under guidance of supervisor
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Ability to coordinate work efforts with Sales, Service Quality and Manufacturing
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
