This job is a member of the Cabin & Regulatory Standards group within the Integrated Operations Division.
Responsible for providing analytical support to Aircraft Interior Engineering teams supporting the maintenance and operation of aircraft and related equipment. This job also establishes and assists maintaining aircraft and component standards within areas of responsibility.
What you'll do
Engineer L2
Provides thought leadership for analytical endeavors of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components
Gathers, interprets, and uses complex data to develop actionable steps that will improve performance and optimize results
Investigate aircraft/component problems which may cause delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determines appropriate corrective actions
Provides Engineering support as required for disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components in order to restore serviceable status.
Works collaboratively with Maintenance and other airline departments when analytical or technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems
Prepares Engineering documents in support of procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions which provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
Serves as /coordinator in the course of project management or problem resolution
Keeps informed of day-to-day airline operations involving field of responsibility. Assesses daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives
Maintains knowledge of current and pending regulations, which affect areas of responsibility and ensures that all Engineering actions maintain compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
Utilizes available resources to continually increase levels of technical expertise and practical experience. Also strives to improve communications skills, time management and other personal qualities pertinent to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties
Actively engages with front line team members and leadership equally

Coordinates with manufacturers and regulatory authorities, as required, and ensures that Engineering dispositions are properly substantiated in accordance with applicable regulations and Company manuals
Develops customized procedures and special criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, servicing and other maintenance actions which are not adequately addressed in existing manuals
Strives to improve communications skills, time management and other personal qualities pertinent to maximum effectiveness and efficiency in performing assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degreePreferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master's Degree in Engineering
Proficient knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, Excel, Data Bricks, Tableau and Microsoft PowerBI
Project Management
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Proficiency of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
Ability to analyze technical data and make data driven decisions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Demonstrates aptitude, ability, and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities
Ability to prepare/deliver presentations that compel acceptance of solutions
Ability to successfully interact with internal and external customers
