Account Manager – Residential HVAC
Location: Greater Toronto Area or Ottawa preferred (travel is a requirement)
To support ICF’s growing energy efficiency program delivery, ICF is seeking Account Managers with experience in residential HVAC systems in Ontario. The successful applicants will liaise with contractors, distributors and manufacturers to promote a new residential rebate program. Account Managers build industry relationships, help identify opportunities for participation in the program, and provide program assistance. Significant travel is required, as much of this work should be occurring in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
The Account Manager will develop partnerships with contractors, distributors and manufacturers to enable their participation in the program
Build industry relationships with heat pump trade allies and trade ally associations to identify opportunities for program participation.
Execute the marketing and outreach strategy, including attendance at trade ally shows, lead generation for the program and ICF.
Develop positive and productive working relationships with active and potential program participants, associations and product suppliers while supporting and promoting client programs.
Support potential program participants and product suppliers with program inquiries.
Support program participants and product suppliers with the application processes.
Track and report progress on project implementation, outreach activities, progress to specified energy and demand savings, as well as program performance.
Identify issues, opportunities and lessons learned and contributing to the continuous improvement of the program design and delivery.
Meet program targets for participation and customer satisfaction
Maintain rebate application status and provide regular reports to Program Manager on program activity
Using effective selling skills, to assist customers in the understanding of energy saving and comfort benefits of new energy efficient products
Conduct webinars and attend industry events to engage with trade allies and customers to promote the program.
Subject matter expertise in energy efficient equipment and processes
Site visits to program applicants
Provide training, technical assistance and guidance on energy efficient technologies, including emerging technologies and practices to companies participating in utility-sponsored programs.
Provide ongoing utility client support as needed. Support will include program reporting, meeting attendance and other client communication as needed.
Cross promote other provincial programs when necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience working with HVAC contractors, distributors and/or manufacturers.
Valid and clean driving license and has their own vehicle.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Strong planning, organization, and relationship building skills
Demonstrated knowledge of residential heat pumps is a must.
Outgoing, engaging individual who can build industry relationships to promote the program.
Time management skills to handle multiple priorities and flexibility to work limited overtime as needed
Self-motivated, able to manage own time minimal oversight
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of energy efficiency and energy consumption
Experience with measurement and verification
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English
High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI, and Access)
