Salesforce: Technical Enablement Writer
Job Category
Marketing.
Job Details
The Marketing Enablement team provides enablement, training, onboarding to Salesforce Marketers on internal product and process changes. We are looking for an engaging communicator who is passionate about creating memorable, relevant, and streamlined content to help support our employees.
Within our team, the role of technical writer can vary to include the creation of learning content, assistance with change impact assessments, planning and drafting communications, and the support of our Marketing curriculum. You'll collaborate closely with various teams, roles, clouds, and regions across the Marketing Org.
The ideal candidate has demonstrated their ability to take initiative on projects and to react flexibly to changes. In a company the size of Salesforce, our success is dependent on understanding the needs of our stakeholders as well as the products/processes we support. Someone comfortable working independently while aligning with our team approach and strategy is a perfect fit!
Responsibilities:
Although we sometimes support projects globally, the expectation is to align with the standard working hours of your AMER time zone.
While you are not expected to understand our internal products or processes when starting, you will be expected to quickly learn about the products and processes you will support.
Become a part of the team: complete project tracking, participate in weekly team meetings, help us build our team templates and best practices.
Align with all Marketing stakeholders for the projects you support: This may include engineering, analytics, field marketing, marketing operations, and other teams within the Marketing Org. You will work closely with the project team to understand their scope and roadmap, and with their stakeholders to help support their training and documentation needs.
Draft key messaging such as project summaries, FAQs, talk tracks, and other support materials i.e. presentation slides.
Focus content and communication on the user's perspective, and the user's needs, not the product.
Help edit/review content, record live virtual trainings, and track questions during office hours for other team members as needed.
Experience/skills required:
Required Experience:
* At least 3 years experience with technical writing & editing or creating learning content
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, social science, education, or English
Required Skills:
* Superb English writing skills, experience copy editing a plus

* Experience with project management or project status tracking (formally or informally)
* Great communication skills
* Experience coordinating with product teams in an agile environment a plus but not required
* Experience with Salesforce products a plus but not required
Additional Abilities:
* Quickly learn new technologies, products, processes
* Distill complex concepts into consumable learning content for stakeholders
* Take initiative and progress on a project independently
* Willingness to connect virtually with new people across Salesforce
* Great attention to detail
* Desire to contribute as a team player
