Description
Our client is currently seeking an experienced and driven ERISA Benefits Attorney to join their collaborative and forward-thinking team! The law firm offers a generous compensation package.
As an ERISA Attorney, you will be required to take a hands-on approach in handling complex legal matters relating to The Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Taft-Hartley Act. You will work closely with our clients, providing legal guidance on retirement income plans, benefit insurance plans, and multi-employer plans as guided by the Taft-Hartley Act, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal counsel on ERISA, Taft-Hartley, and other related laws.
Assist clients with creating, implementing and administering multi-employer benefits, such as ancillary benefit plans and cafeteria plans.
Prepare, review and modify contractual agreements, trust agreements, and plan documents.
Represent clients in negotiations with opposing parties and before administrative agencies or courts.
Regularly update clients on their case status and new applicable legal modifications.
Effectively manage relationships with a diverse clientele.
Requirements
Demeanor to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines
Excellent academic credentials and references
Comprehensive knowledge of ERISA employee benefits
Licensed attorney in Illinois
