Are you an expert in workplace issues? Do you want to help us provide HR advice and solutions to our colleagues?
We're looking for an Employee Relations Director to:
• investigate complex HR matters ranging from employee concern, complaints, and disputes to facilitate resolutions
• advise HR colleagues on HR matters relating to performance management, family and medical leave, health-related issues and claims of unfair treatment
• support workplace issues and disciplinary actions including terminations, warnings and grievances
• advise on workforce strategy (reductions, acquisitions or divestitures).
• coordinate development and delivery of training on professional conduct and dignity at work practices
• partner with Employment Legal, supporting the development and governance of policies and procedures

Your team
You'll be working in the Employee Relations team in either New York or Weehawken office primarily investigating workplace concerns and complaints. We make sure our employees are in a safe and fair environment. We advise on company policies and disciplinary actions. As an Employee Relations Director, you'll play an important role in proactively driving a positive culture, delivering strategic ER solutions to promote and uphold good behavior and protect our brand.
Your expertise
• held similar role as an Employee Relations Specialist, ideally for 5-7 years within financial services
• law degree or equivalent focusing on US employment law preferred
• proven experience in conducting HR investigations on workplace issues
• strong understanding and knowledge of HR policies and US employment laws
• collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects on global and regional level
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• strong conflict resolution and mediation skills, with the ability to remain impartial and objective
• ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information on HR related matters
