Requisition Summary: PACCAR Corporate Emission Compliance team is looking for an Emissions Compliance Specialist. This role is responsible for managing engine and vehicle exemption and compliance reporting to CARB and EPA. This role also involves interaction throughout the PACCAR organization. The successful candidate will be involved in keeping close follow-up and monitoring the exempted engines and vehicles.
Job Functions and Responsibilities: Ensure the compliance of exempted engines and vehicles as per EPA and CARB regulations. Compile the exempted engine and vehicle data for agency submission. Ensure PACCAR engine labels are created as per EPA and CARB requirementsPerform the periodic verification/audits of data. Support PACCAR Engine Delegated assembly activities, annual affidavits, and audits. Compile replacement engine reporting. Work closely with Peterbilt, Kenworth, PACCAR Engine plant, Tech Center program team for required exemption. Update cross-functional teams with compliance reports. Develop processes to stay within compliance with ongoing tasks. Perform analysis and generate conclusions for stakeholders. Work with different teams within the organization to evaluate the current tools and improve the current data quality, and process and execute the improvements. Periodically performs the audit of engine labels and exempted engines.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 7 years of experience working in the regulatory compliance and certification documentation field. Basic understanding of engine and aftertreatment function and parts. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and manage multiple priorities. Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Self-directed and detail-oriented. Ability to perform all assigned tasks from start to finish on schedule and with minimal instruction. Ability to focus on more than one task at a time and the ability to shift back and forth between tasks.
