Eaton is currently looking for a EMEA Project Manager responsible to ensure the successful delivery of medium / large projects for strategic customers. Such projects are mainly for Electrical Systems & Solutions business unit, and would be responsible for overseeing the design, supply, installation and testing works. Eaton's projects can involve every aspect of power distribution from Medium Voltage to Low Voltage equipment.
What you'll do:
Owning and managing projects from initial project handover from the bid team. This encompasses additional scope clarification and design, procurement, scheduling, factory site acceptance tests, and then the actual site logistics and testing, documentation, reporting, and so forth up until the completion of the formal project closeout. Identifying and liaising as required with the internal and external key stakeholders including product engineering, consultants, general/electrical contractors, and internal support organizations such as order processing, supply chain, legal and finance. Identifying and ensuring proper onboarding and coordination of both internal and external (e.g. 3rd party suppliers and subcontractors) parties to ensure efficient execution of assigned projects. Taking full responsibility for their assigned projects and bring them to successful completion using Eaton project management processes and tools, plus managing the people and resources who deliver the project. Owning the project schedule: Build, maintain, and regularly update and communicate the project schedule for all assigned projects (MS Projects), including the required support resources to execute (e.g. FSEs, Engineering.)Working with Eaton internal engineering teams to align on the definition of deliverables as per technical specification and customer requirements. Managing the project margin by controlling costs, managing variations, and regularly report out the financial forecast and status as required. Continually identifying ways to improve the way Eaton execute projects and share learning. This may involve developing new initiatives and recommending better ways to work based on analysis and learning on sites as well as overall customer trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelors' Degree or Masters' Degree from an accredited institution with a strong preference toward electrical / mechanical engineering is highly desirable.10-15+ years of project management, experience with other large and complex industrial projects will also be considered.A strong electrical / mechanical background.Product portfolio & possible applications for standard and non-standard systems is a plus.Experience with Project Management of major capital goods (ideally electrical / mechanical) and experience in renewables, utilities and large industry is a plus.A strong personal presence and proven ability to manage others is highly desirable.
Skills:
Project Management: MV switchgear, LV switchgear, transformers, containerized turnkey solutions, control and automation, protection studies.Experience with electrical utilities, critical infrastructures, oil and gas-, mining industry would be an asset.
