  Your team responsibilities

  We are looking to hire a Senior Financial Controller in the Legal Entity Controlling Team. The Team is responsible for local and group accounting and reporting for our entities in the EMEA region. The role is a highly visible regional role primarily responsible for the accounting activities including participation in month end close processes, in monthly analytics preparation and in the process of financial statement/tax return preparation and review.

  Your key responsibilities

  • Financial accounting for a Bulgarian company and additional operating entities in the EMEA region

  • Performing detailed month end close procedures

  • Recording of month end accounting journals, including accruals and other accounting adjustments

  • Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts

  • Finance approval of vendor invoices

  • Responsibility for the preparation of the local financial statements of the Bulgarian company under International Financial Reporting Standards

  • Responsibility for the preparation of local financial statements under local GAAP for other assigned EMEA legal entities of the Group, specifically: cooperation with external accountants, review of the financial statements, cooperation with external tax advisors, assistance in external filings

  • Review of tax declarations, payment of tax advances in cooperation with local tax advisors

  • Assistance with external and internal audit enquiries

  Your skills and experience that will help you excel

  • College or university degree in finance / accounting

  • Chartered Accountant or local equivalent accounting qualification

  • 5-6 years of professional experience in an accounting position. Experience of working within an international organization or in audit / accounting firm is an advantage.

  • Strong accounting knowledge

  • High attention to details and good analytical skills

  • Good language skills: fluency in written and spoken Bulgarian and English is required;

  • Strong PC skills, especially Excel

  • High level of motivation, commitment to work hard and a desire to make an impact with all internal and external clients

  • Team player and desire to work effectively with diverse cultures in a global organization
