· Identifying and commenting on EMC requirements in customer tenders.
· Writing customer documents like EMC Management Plan to demonstrate strategy used to fulfil EMC goals and avoid future problems by proper EMC design.
· Monitoring changes in standards, national requirements and laws concerning EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and EMF (Electromagnetic Fields).
· Especially being responsible for the following EMC/EMF topics:
o Radiated immunity for all subsystems and the vehicle’s cabling to avoid malfunction between each other and/or the outside environment (e.g., IEC 62236-3-2)
o Radiated emission to outside in order to avoid disturbance of industrial and / or private entertainment equipment (e.g., IEC 62236-3-1).
o Radiated, induced and conducted emissions to avoid product specific disturbance of train protection and train detection systems like axle counters, ballise systems, etc.
o Radiated emission concerning disturbance of train radio equipment.
o Radiated emission for human exposure to follow public as well as worker’s limits in / outside the vehicle, especially for people with cardiac pacemakers (e.g., ICNIRP guideline).
· Breaking down subsystem requirements from overall vehicle’s requirements and taking care of being considered by all relevant subsystem specifications (HV,MV and LV) and suppliers.
· Investigating special topics and finding suitable solutions to guarantee special EMC requirements finally being fulfilled by the complete vehicle.
· Checking EMC designs and collecting/checking EMC test results from sub-suppliers (e.g., according to IEC 62236-3-2) prior to first article inspection
· Taking care of all subsystems being integrated properly according to EMC inside the vehicle, Grounding, personal safety including consideration of special needs / requirements given by sub- suppliers.
· Advising design department and monitoring of all necessary measures to fulfil EMC requirements by the design of complete locomotive.
· Taking responsibility for correct use of shielded or non-shielded cables as well as correct EMC groundings of cable shields and components.
· Advising construction department about necessary use of EMC housing and/or separation measures in case of different cable categories or components.
· Performing optional pre checks on the complete locomotive to guarantee EMC robustness before final vehicle EMC accreditation tests.
· Technically organising and supporting all kind of EMC accreditation tests, together with project and accreditation management.
· Coordination with and support of organisation in charge of performing final accreditation measurements.
· Investigating and solving EMC deviations resulting from accreditation tests.
· Investigating and solving EMC problems, occurring during commercial operation.
· Checking on any EMC relevant changes during serial production and creating justification documents after EMC accreditation test already been finished.
Use your skills to move the world forward
· You have successfully completed a Bachelors or master's degree in electrical or Communication engineering.
· You bring along relevant experience of 7 to 10 years in the field of EMC, Grounding technics and personal safety in the railway or similar industry.
· Furthermore, you have knowledge of simulation tools / techniques for circuits of power electronics/Signaling/Track equipment’s
· You are familiar with analysis and review methodologies
· You should have track records on the respective field
· You are familiar with IEC, EN and Equivalent standards
· You are capable of analysis and learning and always work result- and quality-oriented.
· You are willing to travel as required for project.
· Good communication, presentation skill and team oriented person
