The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking an Electronics Engineer to work in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regional Office in El Segundo, CA.
The Electronics Engineer will provide engineering support to the FAA Los Angeles Terminal Engineering Center with project management and project planning for various Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) and Terminal Radar Approach Control Facilities (TRACON) installation and upgrade projects, and other National Airspace System (NAS) modernization projects.

Specific duties for this position include:
Provide Electronics Engineering Subject Matter expertise (SME) support with electronics engineering project management for various ATCT and TRACON projects throughout the FAA Western Service Area (WSA).
Provide engineering analysis of functional electronic components and system design packages for installation including communications equipment, automation equipment, control and monitoring equipment, and weather communication equipment.
Prepare transition plans, testing plans, and training plans, and coordinate the implementation of transition plan elements with all affected stakeholders.
Perform and analyze system and equipment design package requirements.
Assist in preparing Draft project scope agreements and project schedules.
Analyze project business and feasibility components from an engineering perspective and provide recommendations.
Prepare engineering risk assessments, and provide recommendations and proposals of actions or improvements to mitigate potential risks resulting from site, facility, and project/program changes.
Please Note: Must be able to work onsite in El Segundo, CA. Up to 25% potential telework at the discretion of the FAA Manager.
Required Qualifications:
Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR Master's with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
Systems engineering experience integrating electronics components/systems together.
Eight years’ work experience in electronic engineering.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with no breaks).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
