Electromechanical Assembly Technician
Location: Redwood City
Day Shift: 6AM-2:30PM
Pay rate: based off of relevant YOE
Level III: $26/hr - $32/hr (4 – 8 years of exp.)
Level IV: $28/hr - $34/hr (8 – 15 years of exp.)
Level V: $35/hr - $37/hr (15+ years of exp.)
Job Description:
Perform soldering to connect batteries together
• Perform through-hole soldering to mount smaller components to PCB, maneuvering small hooks – requires a lot more attention
• Perform battery tab welding to join the tabs of battery cells to terminals, using methods such as ultrasonic welding and micro TIG welding
• Perform volt measurement using corresponding tools
• Carefully performing adhesive application using thin glue dispenser
• Perform manual alignment using adhesives
• Accurately complete all necessary manufacturing documentation (i.e., LHR’s, FRM’s) in tandem with completing each assembly process.
• Attention to detail and carefully executing dexterous tasks utilizing hand tools
• Adhere to all manufacturing procedures, SOP’s, WI’s and GMP
• Identify needed materials, tools, or aids
• Good eye-hand coordination to construct small parts and piece into final product
• Work with engineering and support teams on process improvements or changes
• Assist with transfer of new products or design changes
• Effectively communicate and ask questions if unclear on any process requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3+ years of experience with hands-on mechanical build and assembly
· Education or training in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
· Able to understand assembly documentation, exploded assembly views etc.
· Experience with assembly hand tools, hex wrenches, wrenches, pliers screwdrivers etc.
· Strong attention to detail
· Creative, self-motivated, flexible to work in a small company environment and assume a wide variety of tasks
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Must have experience with through hole soldering
• Tab welding experience not required but greatly preferred
• Extreme attention to detail as dealing with smaller components
• Medical device experience (preferred)
• Comfortably lift up to 25lbs
• Flexible to modify working hours to meet specific commitments
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel)
• Willing to work with machinery/equipment
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
