BR&T is looking for a high performing, collaborative Electromagnetics Research Engineer / Physicist
to evaluate, analyze advanced materials and digital engineering process development across the Boeing Enterprise and into the supplier network.
We are seeking either an Associate or Mid-Level engineer who share a passion for advanced materials and digital engineering process development. This position is located in our North Charleston, South Carolina facility.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops workflow for electromagnetic effects analysis and simulationConducts testing to characterize materials in electromagnetic environmentsAssists in developing and validating requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and componentsAssists in the development and validation of electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structuresAssists in developing architectures to integrate components into higher level systems and platformsPerforms trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component and interconnects performance and to optimize design around established requirementsDefines and conducts simple tests to validate performance of designs to requirementsCollects and analyzes data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirementsProvides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by recommending engineering solutions to issuesSupports project management by preparing and presenting project status dataWrites simple sections of proposals to support development of new businessWorks under general supervision
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryEngineering experience with EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) or E3 (Electromagnetic Environmental Effects)Willing to Travel Domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with computational electromagnetics software (CST, COMSOL, FEKO, EMA3D, etc. or self-developed FEM or FDTD solvers)Experience with programing languages (C++, Python, JS, etc.)

Associate (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level (Level 3):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Associate level: $79,900 - $108,100
Summary pay range for Mid-level: $97,750 - $132,250
