As an Automation Technician, you will be accountable to ensure compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance on automation systems and equipment at our Fort Worth Oak Grove Facility in Fort Worth, TX.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Equipment/process control system troubleshooting and documentation of corrections and change control activitiesAssisting with the revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Locating and diagnosing failures through in-depth data analysis and control system logic reviewPerforming troubleshooting using electronic equipment, isometric & P&ID drawings, diagrams, historical data, trending (OSI PI), programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley), functional specifications, operating & component manuals, and verbal or written instructionsComplete maintenance documentation at the time of maintenance completion and maintain detailed correction logsLead and execute equipment/process improvement projects, manage small dollar (< $50k) project budgetsEstimating labor and equipment costs, preparing purchasing requisitions, and managing electrical contractors regularlyAssisting with manufacturing nonconformance investigations and applying good engineering practices to reduce the risk of repeatImplement corrective and preventative actions to improve manufacturing's operational efficiencies and quality standingCooperate and support coworkers to improve the overall capability of the organization by transferring knowledge through peer-to-peer trainingBeing able to function as a leader and member of a cross-functional team while driving personal and professional growth for self and the teamAbility to be flexible in work assignments (i.e., tasks, hours, shifts, days of the week)WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:High School Diploma or EquivalentThe ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English3 Years of Relevant ExperienceWork hours: Monday - Friday; 11:00 AM CST - 8:00 PM CSTTravel Requirements: 0%; No Travel RequiredSponsorship & Relocation: Not AvailablePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Journeyman / Master Electrician CredentialsMaintenance experience in Automatic Storage and Retrieval SystemsKnapp OSR EVO Good to Person experience highly desirableHOW TO THRIVE AT ALCON:Join Alcon's mission to provide outstanding, innovative products and solutions to improve sight, improve lives, and grow your career!Alcon provides a robust benefits package including health, life, retirement, flexible time off, and much more!Alcon is an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in E-Verify.
