We want employees to feel like they are part of a family, the UGC family.WHAT UGC CAN OFFER YOU IN THIS POSITION Hourly Rate: $ 53.40JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems within the facility. The export terminal is a 24x7 operation and will include a rotating work schedule. Electricians are responsible for ensuring that their work is conducted in accordance with relevant codes. Also responsible for safeguarding all work is installed in a clean and safe manner that will not present harm or danger to employees or the public. Military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.Ability to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using testing equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.Responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.When work has been completed, must inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Advises Management on continued operation of equipment and when it could become hazardous.Tests electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.Must have at least a rudimentary knowledge of PLC programming, industrial conveyance safety devices and interlocking.Troubleshoots motor controls and PLCs.Provides preventative maintenance.Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.Installs conduits and pipes for electrical wires and cables.Ensures all wiring complies with electrical codes.Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.Connects electrical systems to provide electricity, where needed.Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.Inspects electrical systems to determine if repairs are needed.Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.Replaces circuit breakers as needed.QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderHigh School diploma or equivalent required.5-7 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.Scheduled to meet production requirements in a 24 hour / 7 day a week business.
