Description:
The Electrical Engineer performs engineering work for systems integration on airborne vehicles.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Electrical Engineer participates within a Project team to integrate complex systems into airborne vehicles. Tasking includes:
Design and analyze electrical systems and components, typically in support of aircraft modifications and avionics upgrades (STC projects).
Provides or coordinates the preparation of engineering documentation related to electrical systems integration (e.g.: electrical engineering drawings, reports, analysis, test plans, etc.).
Preparing electrical substantiation documentation relevant to FAA certification for a proposed integrated system
Develop cabin electrical modification/installation work instructions, procedures and recommendations.
Provide liaison support for electrical kit development.
Work within an engineering team to delegate and assign work to appropriate team members.
As required, coordinate with foreign and domestic approval authorities and their representatives for any necessary assistance and/or approvals.
Applies area of specialty to design, develop and implement creative and innovative solutions to complex issues.
Strive for continuous process improvements and increasing efficiencies in execution and delivery with safety as a priority.
Ensure the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of four (4) years of related experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of four (4) years of aviation related experience.
Excellent communications skills to interface with Project team members.
Proficient knowledge of computer systems and CAD software packages (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Experience with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification processes and requirements including Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), Organizational Design Authority (ODA), and other regulatory certification and airworthiness requirements. Working knowledge of FAA FARs.
Experience and solid foundation of PDM & Configuration Management (CM) practices.
