JOB SUMMARYAn Electrical Drafter will work directly with engineers to generate schematics and BOMs. This may include working on new designs or the modification of existing designs. These responsibilities cover the disciplines of ECAD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drafting and Design:
Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Interpret and incorporate engineering sketches, specifications, and other data into accurate and comprehensive electrical plans.
Collaboration:
Work closely with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and design specifications.
Communicate effectively to clarify design details and ensure accurate representation in the drawings.
Compliance:
Ensure that electrical drawings comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
Stay updated on changes in electrical design codes and incorporate them into drawings as needed.
Documentation:
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of electrical drawings, revisions, and project records.
Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other supporting documents for electrical components.
Review and Revise:
Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, or other stakeholders.
Address and resolve discrepancies or issues identified during the design review process.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support by answering queries related to electrical drawings and assisting in problem-solving.
Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve design-related challenges.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure the accuracy and precision of electrical drawings to meet quality standards.
Conduct thorough checks to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies in the drawings.
Requirements:
Associate degree or certification in Electrical Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field. Bachelor's degree is a plus.
Minimum 1-2 years experience in related role
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or similar tools.
Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and components.
Familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting technical drawings.
Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

The pay range for this role is $64,485 - $111,947. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. .
