About the role
As an Electrical Compliance Auditor within the Scotch category Governance team, you will own the delivery of the Electrical Safety Elements of our annual Audit Schedule. You will work with technical specialists to drive standardisation and ensure full compliance with our policies, standards and protocols. This will include providing impartial and independent interpretation of the Diageo GRMS, local legislative and regulatory requirements, crafting reports and supporting our sites across Scotland to identify gaps and close out any improvement recommendations.
PLEASE NOTE: While this role is primarily based in Glasgow, regular travel will be required to the Isle of Islay and the North of Scotland (Speyside and Brora)
Key points you would be responsible for are:
Conducting Electrical Safety Audits across sites based around ScotlandSupporting your designated sites with Actions raised on Audits and implementing improvements requiredDocumenting results and outcomes of findings at siteDelivery of Diageo Health & Safety commitments
This role will support sites in ensuring electrical compliance in accordance with current legislation and Diageo Global standards. This includes areas such as; Electrical legislation compliance HV / LV; Functional Safety (SIL); DSEAR and hazardous area inspections; as well as Machinery safety (PUWER).
About You
You will have positive can do demeanour, and the ability to make decisions fast. Experience of an auditing role in a manufacturing environment will benefit the ideal candidate, allowing them to deal with high pressure situation. Effective Interpersonal communication skills will allow the role to be carried out optimally.
Bringing with you organisational skills to allow you to prioritise your workload optimally will be highly beneficial.
You should be able to build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external parties. You should possess passion to make positive changes and be pro-active in your approach, suggesting improvements and appraising new opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Degree level in Electrical & Process Control engineering or similar with minimum of 3 years validated experience.
OR
HNC level in Electrical & Process Control engineering or similar with at least 3 to 5 years of related experience.
Firm understanding of Legal requirements such as Electrical Safety, COMAH, PUWER, Machinery Safety, Functional Safety (SIL), DSEAR, HV / LV and hazardous area working.
NEBOSH qualifications are desirable but not crucial.
