Eaton Corporation has an opening for an EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Specialist ASPP, who will be based in our plant in Bosconero (TO) or in Turin.
As EHS Specialist ASPP you will ensure that the site and employees are working in a safe and controlled environment and in accordance with the local/regional environmental health & safety regulations. You will also support EHS Manager in lead, develop, recommend and implement necessary improvement actions related to MESH and in the Prevention and Protective Service (ASPP) within the site in accordance with the applicable Italian law.
What you'll do:
Ensure safe and healthy working conditions; Support the site to comply with ISO, IATF and MESH (Management of Environmental safety and health) certifications. Coordinating the deployment of a robust management system that supports Environment Health and Safety,Prepare of the Risk Assessment Document (DVR), in line with the legal requirements, current working practices and internal standards; Organize preventive and periodic testing of the working environment and work equipment, having also the authority to stop the production processes in case of a threat to the safety and health of employees; Monitor and audit EHS activities, procedures and guidelines (e.g. training, auditing of working places, respond to accidents, implement corrective actions and lead the 8D completion) in line with applicable procedures, law and MESH; Preparation of instructions and implementation of training for all employees to ensure emergency preparedness of the plant; in case of fire evacuation and or all other relevant events;Cooperate and coordinate with the occupational health services and plant's doctor on all matters in the field of safety and health at work; Might represent the company towards (local) government in EHS issues, in line with authority level and code of conduct, in order to exchange and gather information; Pro-actively ensure all RTO (Right to operate) permits are monitored and renewed before expiry also if new regulation is introduced review internal processes/procedures and apply for NEW permits where necessary. This is all in line with regional or national law or ongoing technical developments with the goal to ensure full compliance Accounting for the EHS department budget and have to develop, implement and evaluate EHS strategy and related budget, in line with regional, national, divisional or corporate guidelines, procedures and/or law, in order to advise Plant Management
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in EHS matters or Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or equivalent school background.
Solid experience in a multinational or manufacturing company in Safety and Environment fields.
Skills:
Knowledge of production areas and logics.
Knowledge of safety and environment laws.
Certification of ASPP/RSPP training as per Italian law.
Strong leadership, motivational, & interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills.
Fluent English language is a prerequisite. Any other European language is an asset
