Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a/an EHS Manager located in Richmond, VA.
Reporting to the Director, EH&S the EHS Manager, will be responsible for establish and maintain an effective system of communication within the organization, developing effective working relationships with the safety committee, department managers, plant manager, and employees.
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The primary function of the position is to help create a culture that identifies, eliminates, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices, and analytical techniques long with Behavior based safety programsDirect and organize EHS-related projects for the site to include:Oversee for Environmental Health, Safety and sustainability reporting and compliance."Champion" the Safety Committee and act as a resource to sub committees.Responsible for leading cross-functional safety teams and work groups as required.Assist in the day-to-day activities and communications regarding safety.Provide leadership to manufacturing staff and focus on safety awareness, prevention, and training.Assist site management in implementing health and safety programs and procedures.Develop, maintain, and disseminate a variety of safety information and training topics.Lead training program for EHS&S related trainings.Ensure OSHA, EPA, and other EHS&S compliance.Meet compliance and reporting requirements of federal &/or state regulations.Meet all site required documentation related to safety issues (i.e. accident reports, inspection reports, training logs, etc.).Maintain systems to track key EHS&S performance indicators.Manage risk prevention activities include accidents, emergencies, or other unsafe conditions.THE EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING TO ADD TO THE TEAM:7 years of related experience in EHS3 years of leadership experience (Preferred)Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point, word..)OSHA Safety ProgramSpecific program experience i.e. Control of Hazardous Energy, Machine Safety, Risk Assessments, Electrical Safety, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, Ergonomics, PPE, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Industrial Hygiene, Working at Heights, Incident Analysis (Fishbone, 5-Why)Ability to work effectively with othersManufacturing previous experience (Required)Safety Certifications (Preferred) WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE FOR THE GREAT WORK YOU PROVIDE:Full range of medical benefits, dental, visionLife InsuranceMatching 401KPTOTuition ReimbursementEC37
