General Expectations & Responsibilities:
To proactively promote, participate and provide supports in the development and maintenance of the Mill Environment, Health, and Safety Management System (EHSMS) in a manner that will help to eliminate occupational injuries and illness at the mill. This will include but not limited to;Comply with K-C and regulatory requirements related to EHS&SSupport the identification, reporting, escalation and control of safety and environmental hazard to ensure risks are managed to acceptable levels.Support/lead EHS&S events investigations to ensure root cause evaluations are conducted and effective corrective/preventative actions are implemented.Complete and ensure direct reports complete appropriate EHS&S orientation/training.Ensure adherence of contractors to relevant K-C standards and requirementsSupport EHS&S culture initiatives and programsTo proactively promote, participate and provide supports in the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System that comply to the desired requirement and meeting the CSCU expectation through consistent implementations of the established standards.
Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities:
Provide leadership for the EHS&S programs and systems typically at the company's most complex and largest operating locations.Ensures Kluang Mill's facility is strategically aligned and operating in conformance with KC EHS&S Standards and in compliance with local legal requirements.Through influence without authority and/or direct reporting relationships, the incumbent works collaboratively to identify and direct appropriate process and systems that elevate site program maturity, effectively manage risks and deliver continuous improvement in EHS&S results.Subject matter expertise in EHS&SAssess and verify site complies with K-C and regulatory controls and requirements related to EHS&SFunctional owner of the site's EHS&S Management SystemIdentify EHS&S aspects, hazards, emerging requirements, etc., to verify they are managed to acceptable levels of risk or impact.Setting EHS&S objectives and evaluating the effectiveness of performanceLead the facility's effort to elevate EHS&S program maturity.Facilitates alignment and effective implementation of Global and Region/BU EHS&S strategies.Support EHS&S events investigations to ensure root cause evaluations are conducted and verify effective corrective/preventative actions are implemented.Ensure all employees complete appropriate EHS&S orientation and training.Ensure adherence of contractors to relevant KC standards and requirementsAnalysis of EHS&S data to provide insights/recommending improvement actions as needed.Ensure controls are in place to verify quality and completeness of EHS&S data.Catalyst for EHS&S culture initiatives and programsSupport Health Services and emergency response effortsThis role will report to Mill Manager and dotted line to Regional EHS&S lead in ASEAN.

Essential Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least bachelor's degree / Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental / Health / Safety) or EHS related fields.Specialized in Environmental/ Health & Safety or equivalent in tissue mill manufacturing / FMCG / heavy industry manufacturing environment at least 6-8 years with 2-3 years in a people manager role.Registered with DOSH with Safety and Health Officer (SHO) and other EHS related competencies in Malaysia.Excellent written and verbal communication both English and Bahasa Malaysia
