  Job Description

  Manages the Environmental, Health & Safety Programs for various RTX Raytheon Programs. The position advises and represents Management and staff on all environmental, health and safety technical, performance and management issues. The position is the liaison with the PMO Office relating to all Corporate environmental, health and safety issues affecting RTX Raytheon. Manages regulatory training needs, designs program and oversees delivery of programs to support assigned programs.

  Other duties may be assigned.

  Must be willing and able to travel internationally about 50% of the time. Position is remote, but Candidate will need to live in vicinity of a major airport for easy access for travel.

  Responsible for the management and/or implementation of Environmental Quality and Occupational Health and Safety Programs and Projects. Typical duties involve the following: Interprets, recommends, and complies with safety, health and environmental regulations and/or company policy. Plans, develops, and implements long-range remedial environmental solutions in response to environmental investigations and property assessments to reduce environmental risk and protect company assets. Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations. Identifies hazardous workplace conditions and takes preliminary samples and measurements of hazardous forces and toxic substances, removes hazards and/or protects employees by guarding, revising work procedures, and training or requiring use of protective clothing and personal protective equipment. Takes effective steps to ensure that workplace conditions comply with applicable federal and state occupational safety and health standard provisions of any labor agreement, ensuring that all required records are prepared and maintained. Develops and implements environmental, health and safety management systems to integrate EHS into the business operations.

  Basic Required Qualifications:

  8 years of applicable experience preferably in safety mgmt.

  Experience with OSHA regulations.

  The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  Required Education:

  Typically requires a University Bachelor Degree. in EH&S, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics. Retired and/or military background. AA degree considered with additional 2 years of experience.

  Highly Preferred: ACP = Associate Safety Professional. CSP = Certified Safety Professionals

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Microsoft office software packages.

  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, financial reports and legal documents.

  Experience writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication.

  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.

  Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 28 pounds.

  Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT

  Primary work location is a home office environment, but employee may regularly be present in remote environments where noise level is moderate, and temperatures may be hot and/or cold.

  The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
