Position Summary
Oversees, supports, and promotes the effective use of systems and applications integral to student, faculty and staff operations, including managing the technical training resources and operations, instructional technology and design, and ongoing innovation and advancement of teaching and learning excellence at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television. Collaborates closely with Faculty Area Heads, Area Managers and Staff to provide guidance and support on technology enhancements, pedagogical best practices and educational technologies needed to effectively execute program mission, aligning to departmental goals, objectives and industry standards.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with focus instructional technology and film and new media.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Instructional Design and Technology
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience supporting educational technology, specifically training, research, and client service in an academic environment, as well as experience in film, television and audio production and post production.
Preferred Experience:
2+ years experience working in a University/College environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Expertise in the following areas: Windows and Mac hardware, OS and software relating to film, television, and audio production. LMS and CMS platforms. Technical writing. Proficiency in analyzing and enhancing UX and Pedagogy for technical training and support of state-of-the-art media technologies and learning environments.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong collaborative and team-work skills. Supervision experience of employees. Project Management. Research and Testing of new technologies, including decoding and demystifying technologies. Knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems. Proficient in the use of classroom technologies and systems. Coding basics.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $61,200.00 to USD $74,800.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
