What you'll do:
The Editorial Director of the Resource Desk leads The Trade Desk's fast-growing global content platform for customers, developing new multimedia content about our products and capabilities. As an individual contributor in a highly cross-functional role, you'll own the strategy and execution for product marketing content as part of a broader editorial team spanning news, education, white papers, and case studies. We're looking for a strong editor and product marketer who can dive deeply into programmatic tools and industry trends - including CTV, audio, identity, retail, and digital out of home advertising - and channel that knowledge into content that is useful, entertaining, and actionable. You will work closely with our in-house writers and client services team members to develop evergreen stories and videos, highlighting best practices, case studies, and product news. And you'll oversee a budget for freelance writers, production vendors, and paid media.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely with the GM, Editorial to develop a content strategy that drives the next phase of growth for the Resource Desk.Develop new, evergreen content formats that establish the Resource Desk as an essential, daily destination for TTD power users.Test new ways of building community and engagement through content, including opportunities for peer-to-peer learning.Host editorial calls with stakeholders in EMEA, APAC, and North America to develop story ideas and report back data-driven results.Assign and edit stories to in-house writers and freelancers, jumping in to write as needed.Project manage all Resource Desk content, including maintaining editorial calendars for all regions.Edit monthly client newsletters, ensuring fresh content.Collaborate with our in-house creative team on Resource Desk video shoots.Work closely with our digital marketing and analytics teams to understand the Resource Desk audience and drive our search, social, programmatic, and email audience engagement strategies.
Who you are: •
Exceptional writer and editor with 12+ years of experience in Journalism, Product Marketing, Content Marketing, Business Education, Client Services, and/or Programmatic Advertising.Strong knowledge/understanding of data-driven advertising and a curiosity to continuously learn about new products from TTD subject matter experts.A storyteller who understands "why" is as important as "what" and "how."Proven experience managing multimedia content, from ideation to execution.Proven ability implementing editorial processes that maintain high quality.A love of writing, editing, and giving constructive feedback that clarifies and elevates articles and scripts.A cross-functional superstar. You will rely on a lot of specialists to create content and measure success. You are the lynchpin to making it a smooth process for everyone.Flexibility to periodically take calls with regional colleagues outside your time zone.Highly collaborative and able to work in a fast-growth corporate environment.Self-starter who thrives in an IC role.BA/BS required.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$215,300-$394,700 USD
