   BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE

  The E-Commerce Insights Manager is a newly created position that sits within the mutualised Insights UKI team based in Wimbledon and will work across the entire Coty portolio. This role is newly created to meet the growing demands of the business around the acceleration of our E-Comm insights.

  This role will be part of the UKI Insights team, and will holistically drive E-Commerce insights into the business - both from an analytics stand-point in the form of reporting, but also driving critical pieces of work to build our consumer, shopper and market expertise.

  Given the nature of the role, this position will report directly into the UKI Insights team, with a dotted reporting line into the E-Commerce team.

  This role will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. Internally, you will be expected to work with E-Commerce team, Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales and the rest of the Insights team to identify consumer and shopper insights and translate these into plans for growth of our brands. You will interact with Global teams to accelerate the E-Commerce growth in the UKI. You may also have direct working relationships with different agencies to manage both on-going relationships and key projects.

  In addition, as part of the Analytics scope, you will work closely with both Local and Global stakeholders in order to provide regular, accurate and actionable reporting.

As a key member of the UKI Insights function, you will influence how the broader organization works with the Insights team, and will be part of shaping the way we work.

   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  This is an exciting role, newly created to respond to the changing needs of the business. This role will holistically drive E-Commerce insights into the business - both from an analytics stand-point in the form of reporting, as well as through Insights workstreams and projects. This role will work across the Coty portfolio (both mass and luxury brands and channels).

  In this role, you will:

  Own and lead the Data Analytics for the E-Commerce business across a variety of data sources, and support our key value of Data Democracy across the business; Act like the voice of the E-Commerce Consumer/Shopper in our business, driving insights linked to our key sources of data or from new projects; Influence decision making up to the high levels of management (SVP of Marketing, E-Commerce Senior Director, Brand Directors, Sales, Trade Marketing) both at local and global level.

   E-COMMERCE DATA ANALYTICS RESPONSIBILITIES (~50% of the time)

   Data stewardship | Maintain data stewardship (data quality) our key e-commerce data sources to ensure we have accurate and quality data reporting Build and maintain strong relationships across the business and with external partners to assess and respond to data and insight needs w/re to e-commerce Input into the broader Analytics reporting / data harmonisation projects led by other Analytics team members Embed ways of working across the business to ensure better use of our e-commerce data sources across the UKI business (Eg Amazon data, e-commerce EPOS, .com data insights) Data reporting | Ownership and responsibility for monthly data reporting & monthly trackers of E-Commerce data, reconciling different data sources where required. Including Amazon, .com and pure play. Data Analytics | Provide insight and recommendations for actions based on data and analysis to enable data-driven decision making within the rest of the business (eg: overall performance, drivers, etc). Provide adhoc support to key stakeholders / business leaders on monthly reporting cadence (eg MBU / Power Hour) or as needed. Longer-term : Use category knowledge to feed e-commerce trends into the category forecast process (category and market performance), feeding into S&OP and Annual Plan process. With available information, support the business in assessing the market size and opportunities for growth.

   CONSUMER INSIGHTS CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (~50% of the time)

   Be the voice of the E-Commerce consumer and shopper, across mass & luxury categories. Be the E-Commerce expert for the UKI market. Track category trends (brand performance, new competitive launches, retail expansions + consumer trends) Specifically, deliver total category insights highlighting category trends and brand performance, by leveraging available data sources. Leverage and manage tools such as social listening, ratings & reviews. Drive insight to action through storytelling and data-based recommendations coming from: Adhoc analysis using existing sources of data (e.g. EPOS, panel, retailer data) Deliver timely and effective adhoc research projects, responding to business questions from the multi-functional team, with clear actionable insights (e.g. shopper research, claims testing). Drive critical learning on key knowledge gaps - including but not limited to consumer decision journey and path to purchase for omni-channel Collaborate and support Local (marketing, digital,sales) and Global (CMI, e-comm) teams on co-creation projects, to answer key business questions Support and present at Retailer reveals, as needed Partner with the rest of the Insights team as needed Specifically, partner with the Insights team to deliver Category Growth Stories for the UK&I, specifically building in the consumer & shopper insight.

   WHAT YOU WILL BRING

   The ideal candidate will have the following:

  Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience. Tertiary education (eg. University or similar) not required but a plus Ideal candidate would have degree and/or experience in a previous analytics role, or in a related field. Previous experience working on e-commerce channel is required: manufacturer, retail or agency. Advanced Excel user essential for the role, Power BI and other BI tools ideal Previous experience with core systems (or similar) a plus: Amazon ARA, retailer systems, market data (Nielsen, IRI, NPD), Household panel (Kantar WorldPanel, Nielsen, GfK), Shopper data (Boots Ad Card, Dunnhumby).

  Beauty experience not required, but passionate about Beauty and market trends a plus Need to be passionate about data, and using it to tell a story

  Ability to utilize both internal and syndicated data systems and access, interpret and draw accurate conclusions / insights to make the case for a course of action or decision Ability to leverage the analyses of a variety of sources of data to develop solid, actionable recommendations that address specific goals/objectives and challenges Proven experience building positive working relationships and working successfully in cross-functional teams. Collaborates easily with others, sharing information and adapts to different working styles Acts with sense of urgency to address internal and external needs, and accomplish goals whilst keeping the consumer/shopper at the heart of decision-making Ability to work independently and strong sense of individual accountability. Works with fair level of autonomy, is able to prioritise, but knows when to escalate problems Strong task management capabilities to manage multiple tracks of work and requirements Strong communication skills in all forms Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously / multi-tasking Is resilient and flexible, adapts to new challenges
