Job Summary and Qualifications
Our Echo Technicians are proficient in the performance of two-dimensional, M-mode and Doppler (Pulsed-wave, Continuous-wave, and Color flow) echocardiography diagnostic procedures. The commitment to service, safety and professionalism is critical to achieving the best experience for our patients. What You Will Do In This Role:
You will need to visualize all of the cardiac chambers, valves, vessels, with appropriate structural and blood flow measurements.
You will be familiar with other types of diagnostic tests (i.e. clinical laboratory tests, nuclear cardiology and cardiac catheterization) and be able to integrate echocardiography results with the results of such other tests for clinical correlation as an ICAEL Accreditation requirement.
You will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, tissue characteristics, and measurements of blood flow, including the biological effects of ultrasound.
You will accurately document abnormal echocardiography and Doppler velocities that are indicative of cardiovascular pathophysiology.
You will perform routine maintenance on all equipment and perform basic troubleshooting of problems.
You will assist in new staff member orientation.
You will prepare and instruct patient’s pre & post-procedure.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Certificate
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Certified Cardiographic Technologist
