The Wisconsin EarlyEducation Shared Services Network (WEESSN) brings together family andcenter-based early care and education programs to pool resources andleverage economies of scale. The Early Childhood Substitute Teacher is afull-time, salaried position that functions as a \"Relief Squad\"educator assigned to a subset of family care or group programs withinthe WEESSN network for pre-scheduled coverage of staff/family childcareprovider absences. This is not an \"on-call\" position. The Relief SquadEducator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operationalactivities of the classroom or family childcare setting they aresupporting. Educators must have a good understanding of children\'scognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safeand stimulating learning environment where children are actively engagedand encouraged to succeed. The Relief Squad Educator must be skilled incommunicating with both children and adults to meet the needs of thechildren, work as a team with other educators and assistants, andcommunicate with parents as needed. This position is responsible for thecoverage of Milwaukee County. Spanish/English bilingual candidates areencouraged to apply. Living in the state of Wisconsin is required forthis position.
