Responsibilities include: planning, implementing, and evaluating curriculum activities for children; planning and directing routine classroom activities such as meals, bathroom/diapers, naps, and physical care; modeling appropriate nurturing and communication skills with children; directing and maintaining a safe, healthy environment; completing child assessments and conducting parent conferences; leading Early Childhood Specialist 2, student staff, and volunteers in classroom; upholding licensing and accreditation standards; evaluating student staff; and completing required paperwork.Required Qualifications:• Forty-five college quarter hours in early childhood development/education/special education or equivalent OR a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) and two years experience working in a group setting with children of the ages enrolled in the program; OR equivalent education/experience.• AA/AAS Degree in Early Childhood development or equivalent education/experience.
