EAP Telephone Counsellor - Dublin

About the role:
This role is built around a caring supportive team of counsellors with a desire to improve the wellbeing of our members. The successful candidate will have a warm caring approach to their profession and be a proactive team player.
You will be proficient in working with a brief model of delivering Emotional Wellbeing Support with a realistic approach to coaching our members to their desired goal.
As a Telephone counsellor, you will have the opportunity to work to fixed shifts, whilst making a difference in the lives of EAP clients with the support you deliver.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Assessments and in the moment support to a diverse range of clients using a brief solution focused model.
• Provide one off emotional wellbeing calls, referring to internal and external resources
• Carry out risk assessments and triage
• Complete case notes for all clients in line with clinical policy
• Undertake training modules and company specific E- learning
• Keep up to date on relevant regulatory and legislative developments.
• Play a proactive role in weekly and monthly team meetings
• Demonstrate a keen awareness of meeting customer expectations within the boundaries of emotional wellbeing
• IT skills are essential to this role
• Problem solving and the ability to create an internal network are key
• Undertake all other tasks and responsibilities as required
Shifts available from Monday to Sunday, 8am to 11pm
5 days a week, 37.5 hour week
Required qualifications:
• Hold a minimum of a Diploma Level 7 in Counselling or equivalent
• Have completed minimum 450 clinical hours.
• Registered membership with a professional association such as BACP or equivalent.
• Previous assessment and short-term counselling experience.
• Experience working in a brief solution focused counselling model together with telephone/video counselling experience.
• Strong risk assessment skills with regards to Child Welfare/Safety concerns, Suicide/Self-Harm, etc.
• Good clinical judgement and understanding of your responsibilities regarding confidentiality; strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, collaboration, cultural competency, interpersonal, self-care, time management and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, SoftPhone etc.).
