About Dowty Product and Programs Leader

  Job Description Summary

  He have an exciting opportunity within Dowty Propellers, for a Product and Programs leader to lead the programs function as part of the Senior Leadership team. Reporting into the Dowty General Manager, this role will be focused on providing functional leadership across the P&L. This will entail, coaching and developing the existing team, embedding lean operational practices, effective product and program execution to ensure that we continue to grow revenue, and deliver annual margin expansion and product cost out.

  Essential Responsibilities

  Lead a cross-functional value stream in accordance with lean principles (Daily management, Operating reviews, Leader Standard Work).Embeds the Lean Operating System for running portfolio to sustain long-term growth and profitability, consistently applying Lean methodologies to solve problemsCoach the team of product managers on developing and building multi-generation product plan and how that impacts market share, revenue, price, cost structure, business cases & margin.P&L and budget responsibility with comprehensive knowledge of the meaning and interrelations of key financial measures (revenue, gross margin, op margin, cash flow, inventory, AR, CAPEX); leverages financial acumen to influence outcomes.Manages portfolio overall financial performance to deliver resultsUses financial data and analytics to evaluate strategic options.   Qualifications/Requirements

  Significant relevant product management and/or commercial experience.Experience of identifying top talent based on organizational capability needs.Minimum Bachelor's degree in a technical or business subject or the equivalent knowledge/experience.Excellent cross-functional leadership and organisational skills to meet goals and set priorities, in challenging and uncertain environments.Ability and willingness to travelChange management experience.
