About DoD Operations Officer - Executive

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Operations Officer (Executive) to sit onsite at one of our largest defense clients in Warren, MI. This person will be responsbile for supporting the creation and management of various complex management projects, issues, and initiative. They will manager projects to assure priority actions are coordinated, staffed, and executed throughout the organization. The person will review organizational leadership daily correspondence, recommend courses of action, and provide taskers to the appropriate organizational offices and other business groups and monitor tasker to completion. They will also serve as Audit Point of Contact, coordinating and managing all incoming Audit actions from the General Accounting Office (GAO) or other organizations. Other responsbilites include:

Work cross functionally with internal and external organizations like the, Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), Department of Army (DA), Army Materiel Command (AMC), etc.

Research current government policies and guidance; including the DoD 5000 series, DA and AMC policies and guidance, and regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

Collect analyze program information and metrics, draft language and strategy, properly coordinate and obtain approvals, and submit responses

Staff Congressional inquiries, including coordination and tracking responses, and reporting the outcome to the organizations leaders and COR

$35/hr to $55/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

7+ years of experience (within the last 10 years) working cross functional with the planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking, and reporting on complex DoD/army programs

Experience with battle rhythms and/or acquisition

5+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

Bachelor's degree

Active Interim or Secret Clearance OR has the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - 3+ years of prior military experience that includes leadership positions and/or operations staff experience at the Battalion level or higher
