Your Career
Palo Alto Networks, The Network Security Company, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Document Control Analyst to join our exciting, fast growing company. The candidate should be a self-starter and thrive in a collaborative environment that values results. This individual will be responsible for the advancement, administration and continuous improvement of the Arena PLM system in support of Engineering and Operations. The candidate will establish best practice and process creation, document release, change order analysis and reporting. This position will report to the Document Control Manager in Technical Operations.
Your Impact
Responsible for writing and managing Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCO), Document Change Orders (DCO), Deviations (DEV) in support of all new product releases and sustaining activities
Completion, input and maintenance of item master, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOM) structure, part documentation in the Arena PLM system
Review and maintenance of the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and Approved Materials List (AML)
Establish and lead change control review meetings as necessary to meet objectives related to the document control process
Coordinate the Product Change Notice (PCN) process prior to production release and be the operations focal point for the PCN process after production release
Participate and support the continuous improvement of Change Control and Document Control processes for development and production items with cross functional teams
Add and maintain PCB documentation, mechanical drawings, product and process documents, etc.
Maintain the accuracy of data in the Document Control databases
Maintain related change management tracking sheets in Google Sheets for CFT and CM reviews as change orders are created, processed and released
Apply appropriate Rev to Track and Interchangeability Rules and adherence
Ensure accurate Disposition and CM Implementation Rules are defined in each change order
Direct file release and product change management to all suppliers and EMS / ODM Partners
Your Experience
5+ years of direct experience in document administration in a hi-tech environment
Extensive knowledge of Arena PLM system and/or an equivalent PLM tool
Experience with system administration tasks such as updating and maintaining the workspace settings, testing updates, UI testing, and implementation
Extensive experience supporting engineering, manufacturing operations, suppliers and EMS partners
Ability to read and understand complex Bill of Materials (500 plus components) and associated engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
Familiar with materials planning and production processes
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiar with Google Workspace and its sharing capabilities (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides)
Excellent communication skills are a must, both written and verbal
An organized self-starter, who can multitask and prioritize in a very fast paced environment
Ability to work independently and seek support and information when needed - Drive for results in a timely manner working with cross functional teams in a highly collaborative manner
Project or program management experience or demonstrate attention to detail with ability to analyze and follow through
Leading cross-functional teams or provide suggestions with a critical decision making style from available resources
