Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is seeking a Division Contracts Operations Manager 2 in either Redondo Beach, CA or Melbourne, FL. The selected candidate will report directly to the Director of Contracts, Pricing, and Estimating within the Air Dominance, Apex, and Research & Advanced Design Division. The Contracts Operations Manager will partner closely with five Business Unit Contracts Managers along with the Pricing & Estimating organization in support of Business Unit, Division, and Sector compliance, strategic, and financial objectives.
Responsibilities Include : Build and lead a team of highly motivated and effective Contract Setup Group Business Management Analysts and Contract Administrators, providing training, guidance, and career development; Leverage data analytics to drive compliance, timeliness, and inform business area decision-making; Identify, develop, and recommend risk mitigation strategies to address complex issues; Interpret, execute, and recommend modifications to policy and procedures; Develop process improvements and cultivate new resources to drive efficiencies across the Divisions; Oversee the management of existing tools and resources that span across all Business Units within the Divisions; Provide resourcing and oversight to ensure execution of the goals of the organization; Partner with Business Unit Contracts Managers to advise on Terms & Conditions, including FAR/DFARS interpretation/application and negotiation strategies; Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external customers; and Interface with Division and Sector leadership regarding proposal activity, active contract performance, negotiation strategy, and related matters. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in leading a diverse team as well as the ability to promote the professional development of the Contracts, Pricing & Estimating workforce, fostering a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around ethics and integrity, employee engagement, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance, and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics.
Basic Qualifications : Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, and negotiating;Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholders and subject matter experts;Demonstrated understanding (interpretation and compliance at a senior level) of and experience with FAR and DFARS;Excellent decision-making skills that support resolution of complex problems while minimizing risk to the Corporation; strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be flexible and change direction when required;Demonstrated proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; andBachelor's degree from an accredited university and 7+ years of experience in Contracts or a related field OR Master's degree from an accredited university with 5+ years of experience in Contracts or a related field. Salary Range: $108,400 - $188,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
